Lilibet’s Fourth Birthday: New Photos Released

The Duchess of Sussex shared intimate photos of Princess Lilibet to celebrate her fourth birthday.

One black-and-white image shows Meghan cuddling Lilibet, both with windswept hair, seemingly on a boat. A second shows Meghan tenderly holding a newborn Lilibet from 2021.

Meghan’s Instagram post read: “Happy birthday to our beautiful girl! Four years ago today she came into our lives – and each day is brighter and better because of it. Thanks to all of those sending love and celebrating her special day!”

While typically sharing only rear-facing photos of Lilibet to protect her privacy, this image reveals Lilibet’s eyes and upper face, partially obscured by Meghan’s embrace.

Princess Lilibet, the youngest child of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, was born on June 4, 2021, a year after her parents stepped back from senior royal duties and relocated to the U.S. She became a princess upon her grandfather King Charles III’s ascension to the throne.

The Sussexes also have a son, Prince Archie, aged six.

Recently, Meghan discussed the possibility of a future business venture with Lilibet during a conversation with Tina Knowles on her podcast, “Confessions Of A Female Founder.”

Last week, she shared a video of herself and Lilibet beekeeping, captioning it: “Like mother, like daughter; she’s even wearing my gloves.”

Lilibet is named after her great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, a childhood nickname stemming from the young princess’s difficulty pronouncing her own name.
