Manchester City assistant coach Pep Lijnders addressed the future of team captain Bernardo Silva, stating that “every good story comes to an end.”

The midfielder’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season, and he has yet to agree to an extension. Silva has been reportedly linked with a move to La Liga’s Barcelona, Serie A’s Juventus, as well as clubs in the United States.

Manchester City acquired the Portuguese international from Monaco in 2017. He recently marked his 450th appearance for the club during Saturday’s FA Cup quarter-final victory over Liverpool.
