Liam Gallagher Welcomes First Grandchild

Liam Gallagher has become a grandfather after his daughter, Molly Moorish-Gallagher, welcomed a son.

Moorish-Gallagher, 27, announced the birth on Saturday via an Instagram post featuring images of her newborn son, Rudy, alongside a sign that read, “we adore you.”

The former Oasis frontman, 53, first met his daughter in 2018, after she was raised by her mother, singer Lisa Moorish.

Gallagher has three other children: two sons from his marriages to actress Patsy Kensit and singer Nicole Appleton, and another daughter from a relationship with US journalist Liza Ghorbani.

In her Instagram post, Moorish-Gallagher wrote “In a message to you, Rudy,” followed by a blue heart emoji.

Other photos included a “hello baby” sign displayed on a kitchen door and a picture of Moorish-Gallagher holding her son’s hand.

Another image showed Rudy wearing an orange jumper with the letter “R” on the back, while Moorish-Gallagher’s boyfriend, footballer Nathaniel Phillips, cradled their son.

Phillips, who began his career with Liverpool, currently plays for West Bromwich Albion.

The post garnered quick reactions from fans and celebrities alike, with model Daisy Lowe offering her “Biggest congratulations sweetheart.”

Moorish-Gallagher initially revealed her pregnancy in May, sharing a photo on Instagram with Phillips as she showcased her baby bump.

Prior to their reconciliation in 2018, Gallagher admitted in 2017 that he had “never got around” to meeting his daughter, citing difficulties with her mother.

He later announced their meeting the following year with a photo of them together, also featuring his sons Lennon and Gene.

It remains unknown whether Gallagher has yet met his grandson.

Earlier this year, Oasis marked their 25th anniversary with a series of sold-out gigs, following the band’s split in 2009 after a backstage altercation between Gallagher and his brother Noel.

The Oasis Live ’25 tour saw unprecedented demand, with over 10 million fans from 158 countries attempting to purchase tickets last summer, marking it as the largest concert launch in UK and Ireland history.

The Duchess of York in Leeds was once the place to play for bands on the verge of stardom.

What is it that has helped this genre find its way into everyone’s headphones and ear buds?

The open-air show in 2002, known as Big Beach Boutique II, was attended by an estimated 250,000 fans.

With a fourth consecutive Mercury Prize nomination, the band share their philosophy of album making.

Once an esoteric 1970s genre, mood music playlists have become a daily habit for millions.
