Lee’s three-shot victory came after a final round of two-over-par 74 in challenging Texas conditions. She was one of only three players to finish under par for the weekend, overcoming a challenging start with three bogeys in her first six holes.

The 29-year-old’s performance was particularly impressive given the difficult playing conditions at Fields Ranch East, where the average score exceeded 75 – the highest for any LPGA Tour major in a decade. Kim and Wannasaen, finishing an hour earlier with 68s, were unable to catch Lee, who rallied with back-to-back birdies on 14 and 15.
