La Voix Withdraws from Strictly Competition Due to Injury

La Voix, a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing, has been compelled to withdraw from the competition due to an injury.

The drag queen’s departure was announced by presenter Tess Daly at the commencement of Saturday’s Blackpool episode, stating that she had to withdraw based on medical advice.

Earlier reports indicated she might be unable to perform on Saturday; however, there were hopes for her return next week with dance partner Aljaž Škorjanec. Reports had suggested this earlier.

“This isn’t the ending I imagined, but I’ll cherish this forever,” the performer, 45, stated in an Instagram post.

La Voix’s departure marks the latest in a series of injuries affecting contestants on the show. Consequently, there will be no elimination via a dance-off this week, with votes being carried over to the following show.

La Voix is the alter ego of Chris Dennis, who expressed his desire for viewers to become acquainted with the individual behind the drag persona prior to the series.

The character garnered considerable popularity last year as a finalist on RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.

Specific details regarding the nature of the injury have not been disclosed.

“My spirit wanted to keep dancing but my foot has other ideas,” La Voix conveyed in her Instagram post.

She further added, “Due to an injury, I’ve been advised that I’m unable to perform.”

In recent weeks, Strictly viewers have witnessed La Voix and Škorjanec performing jives, waltzes, and foxtrots on the Strictly dancefloor.

Last month, actor Stefan Dennis, known for his role in Neighbours, also withdrew from Strictly due to injury. In September, TV personality Dani Dyer was forced to pull out before the show’s commencement after sustaining a broken ankle, subsequently replaced by actress Amber Davies.
