Kazakhstan’s President Expresses Full Solidarity with the People of Qatar

BAKU/Trend/ – President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev of Kazakhstan held a telephone conversation with the Emir of the State of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Trend reports.

President Tokayev expressed full solidarity and support for the people of Qatar during this challenging time.

He commended the political wisdom of Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, whose leadership significantly de-escalated tensions. Qatar, under his strong guidance, plays a crucial role in resolving the region’s most complex issues.

The two leaders agreed to continue high-level contacts, including during the Emir’s upcoming visit to Kazakhstan.

It is recalled that on June 13th, Israel launched airstrikes on Iran, resulting in numerous military casualties, including the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Mohammad Bagheri; the Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hossein Salami; and several other high-ranking military officials and nuclear scientists.

In response, Iran launched over 150 ballistic missiles and more than 100 drones at Tel Aviv and other areas in Israel, causing civilian casualties and significant damage.

On June 22nd, the US Air Force attacked Iranian nuclear facilities. Reports indicate that these airstrikes successfully destroyed the targeted sites.

“We have concluded our highly successful attack on three Iranian nuclear facilities, including Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan. All aircraft are now outside Iranian airspace. Full ordnance was delivered to the primary Fordo target. All aircraft are safely returning home,” US President Donald Trump posted on social media.

On the evening of June 23rd, Iran launched airstrikes on a US military base in Qatar.

On June 24th, a temporary ceasefire was declared between the parties, mediated by US President Donald Trump.
