A comprehensive livestock development program is launching in Qashqadaryo. This was announced on June 20th during a video conference chaired by President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, focusing on the region’s prioritized development.
The meeting highlighted that the Agriculture Fund will provide livestock farmers with 12-month loans at a 14% interest rate. This will enable 127 livestock farmers to reach full production capacity. Additionally, 630 livestock farmers owning both land and farms will receive resources to increase their livestock by 12,000 head.
President Mirziyoyev instructed officials to commence funding these projects using $150 million sourced from international financial institutions.
The President noted the potential to increase Qashqadaryo’s gross regional product to over $10 billion within the next five years. Consequently, a regional “Reform Headquarters” will be established.
