A new initiative has launched to prepare Uzbekistani professionals for the international job market, a collaboration between Uzbekistan and Japan, reports the Agency for External Labor Migration.
The Agency for External Labor Migration and the Japan-China-Asia Medical Educational Cultural Exchange General Incorporated Association have signed a cooperation agreement, initiating the “Attracting 10,000 Uzbek Specialists to the Japanese Market” project.
Initial training will take place in Tashkent, Samarkand, and Namangan regions, featuring courses titled “Yapon mahorat nuri” (Light of Japanese Mastery).

Furthermore, an online platform, WiseBridge, will facilitate direct connections between job seekers and Japanese employers, launching in June 2025.
“Uzbekistan is becoming a reliable partner for Japan in labor migration, boasting a rapidly growing young population and significant labor market potential,” stated the organization’s head, former Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama.
