Israel Launches Large-Scale Air Strike on Tehran

BAKU /Trend/ – Israel’s recent air operation targeting military and industrial sites in Tehran involved over 50 of the country’s air force fighters.

This was reported Monday by Trend, citing a statement from the Israel Defense Forces (IDF).

“During the recent wave of attacks, Israeli Air Force fighter jets struck the Iranian Armed Forces General Staff headquarters in Tehran, as well as missile and radar production facilities, and warehouses storing missiles,” the IDF statement said.

Early on June 13th, Israel launched airstrikes on Iran resulting in numerous military casualties, including the Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Mohammad Bagheri; the Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hossein Salami; two commanders of the Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters – Gholamali Rashid and Ali Shadmani; the Commander of the IRGC Air Force, Amir Ali Hajizadeh; and nine nuclear scientists among others.

In response, Iran launched over 150 ballistic missiles and more than 100 drones at Tel Aviv and other areas in Israel, causing civilian casualties and significant damage.
