Israel Halts Strikes Against Iran

Following a phone call between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. President Donald Trump, Israel has decided against further strikes on Iran.

This was reported Tuesday by Trend, citing the Israeli Prime Minister’s office.

Following the ceasefire, the Israeli army struck a radar station near Tehran in response to two Iranian missile attacks. The Prime Minister’s office also confirmed this information.

The statement emphasizes that the attack was limited to this single target.

“Following a phone call between U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Israel has refrained from carrying out additional strikes,” the statement noted.

Earlier on June 13th, Israel launched airstrikes on Iran, resulting in numerous military casualties, including the Iranian Chief of General Staff Mohammad Baqeri, the commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Hossein Salami, two commanders of the Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters—Gholamali Rashid and Ali Shadmani, the IRGC Air Force commander Amir Ali Hajizadeh, as well as nine nuclear scientists and others.

In response, Iran launched over 150 ballistic missiles and more than 100 drones at Tel Aviv and other areas in Israel, causing civilian casualties and significant damage.

On June 22nd, the U.S. Air Force attacked nuclear facilities in Iran. Reports indicate the airstrikes successfully destroyed Iranian nuclear sites.

“We have completed our highly successful attack on three nuclear facilities in Iran, including Fordo, Natanz, and Isfahan. All aircraft are now outside Iranian airspace. A full payload of bombs was dropped on the main Fordo facility. All aircraft are returning home safely,” U.S. President Donald Trump posted on social media.

On the evening of June 23rd, Iran launched airstrikes on a U.S. military base in Qatar.

A ceasefire was announced on June 24th, brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump.

Iran’s Supreme National Security Council also issued a statement confirming the cessation of hostilities.
