Tehran’s Foreign Minister, Abbas Araghchi, engaged in separate telephone conversations with UK Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, German State Secretary for Foreign Affairs, Andreas Michaelis, French Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs, Jean-Yves Le Drian, and EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, Trend reports.
During these calls, Mr. Araghchi emphasized Iran’s resolve to continue its “legitimate self-defense against aggression, including the use of force.” He further asserted that Israel, its supporters, and those justifying its actions bear full responsibility for any potential escalation of the conflict.
The Iranian minister directly accused the United States of complicity, stating, “There is no doubt that Israel, with the support, assistance, and collaboration of the United States, initiated this war against the Iranian people. Therefore, we hold the US accountable for the current situation and consider them complicit in the crimes committed.”
