BAKU /Trend/ – Iran has reiterated its readiness to respond to any further aggression from the United States.
As reported by Trend, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi made this statement during a meeting with his Turkmen counterpart, Rashid Meredov.
Araghchi emphasized Iran’s commitment to de-escalation, characterizing the Iranian missile strike on the Al-Udeid airbase in Qatar as a proportionate response to what it deemed blatant aggression against Iran’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.
Foreign Minister Meredov, representing Turkmenistan’s stance as a close and friendly neighbor, expressed his country’s concern over the escalating situation since the initial Israeli attacks on Iran. He reaffirmed Turkmenistan’s neutral policy, stating that the use of force or threats is unacceptable, and reiterated support for diplomatic solutions.
It should be noted that on June 13th, Israel launched airstrikes on Iranian territory, resulting in significant casualties, including high-ranking military officials such as the Chief of General Staff, Mohammad Bagheri, and several other commanders and nuclear scientists.
In retaliation, Iran launched over 150 ballistic missiles and more than 100 drones against Tel Aviv and other areas within Israel, causing civilian casualties and substantial damage.
Furthermore, on June 22nd, the U.S. Air Force conducted strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities, reportedly resulting in their complete destruction.
