BAKU /Trend/ – A congratulatory message from NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte to a country that attacked an independent nation, and the assessment of this attack as “extraordinary,” is a hateful step.
As Trend reports on Wednesday, this was stated in a post by Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Ismail Begai on social network X.
According to him, a party that supports such an attack is considered an accomplice and accessory to this attack.
It is worth recalling that in the early morning of June 13, Israel launched airstrikes on Iran, resulting in the deaths of many military personnel, including the Chief of the General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Mohammad Bagheri, the Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, Hossein Salami, two commanders of the “Khatam al-Anbiya” headquarters – Golamali Rashid and Ali Shadmani, the Commander of the IRGC Air Force, Amir Ali Hajizadeh, as well as nine nuclear scientists and other individuals.
In response to these strikes, Iran launched over 150 ballistic missiles and more than 100 drones at Tel Aviv and other areas of Israel, resulting in civilian casualties and significant destruction.
On June 22, the US Air Force attacked nuclear facilities in Iran. It is noted that the airstrikes destroyed Iranian nuclear facilities.
“We have completed our very successful attack on three nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan. All planes are now out of Iranian airspace. A full payload of bombs was dropped on the main Fordow facility. All planes are returning home safely,” US President Donald Trump wrote on social media.
On the evening of June 23, Iran launched airstrikes on a US military base in Qatar.
On June 24, a temporary ceasefire was announced between the parties with the mediation of US President Donald Trump.
