BAKU /Trend/ – An Israeli F-35 fighter jet has been shot down in western Iran.
This was reported on Saturday by Trend, citing the official Iranian military news portal.
According to reports, the pilot ejected.
This marks the third Israeli fighter jet downed by Iran, according to the report.
Earlier, on June 13th, Israel launched airstrikes on Iran, resulting in the deaths of numerous high-ranking military officials, including Chief of General Staff Mohammad Hossein Bagheri, and a group of Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) members. Among those killed were IRGC Commander-in-Chief Hossein Salami, Khatam al-Anbiya headquarters commander Gholamali Rashid, six nuclear scientists, and other high-profile figures.
Later that evening, Iran retaliated against Israel, launching over 150 ballistic missiles and more than 100 drones at Tel Aviv and other areas, causing civilian casualties and widespread destruction.
