The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have announced an extension to their content creation agreement with Netflix.

The renewed partnership is structured as a “multi-year, first-look deal,” granting Netflix the initial opportunity to consider projects developed by Prince Harry and Meghan’s Archewell Productions.

While representing a more flexible arrangement than their previous contract, this agreement refutes speculation that the Sussexes and Netflix were severing ties entirely.

Meghan stated that their ongoing collaboration with Netflix inspires her and Harry to “create thoughtful content across genres that resonates globally, and celebrates our shared vision.”

Specific details regarding the duration and financial terms of the extended deal remain undisclosed. The initial agreement, established in 2020, was reportedly valued at approximately $100 million (£75 million).

This announcement precedes the forthcoming premiere of the second season of “With Love, Meghan,” a culinary-focused program, scheduled for release later this month.

According to Netflix viewership data, the first season of the show did not rank among the streaming platform’s top 300 most-watched series during the first half of 2025.

“With Love, Meghan,” a lifestyle series featuring Meghan preparing meals alongside celebrity guests, garnered 5.3 million views. In contrast, “Adolescence,” a drama series, topped Netflix’s viewership charts during the same period with 145 million views.

“Harry & Meghan,” a prior Netflix documentary chronicling the couple’s decision to step down as senior members of the British Royal Family, achieved a larger audience, attracting 23.4 million views following its debut in December 2022.

Archewell has also announced a holiday-themed edition of “With Love, Meghan,” inviting viewers to “join Meghan in Montecito for a magical holiday celebration.”

“With Love, Meghan” has also inspired a food and beverage line, “As Ever,” which includes rosé wine and jams.

Later this year, Netflix will release “Masaka Kids Afrikana,” a documentary with Harry and Meghan as executive producers, focusing on an orphanage in Uganda that provides hope amidst the ongoing HIV/AIDS crisis.

Bela Bajaria, Netflix’s Chief Content Officer, commented: “Harry and Meghan are influential voices whose stories resonate with audiences everywhere.”

“The response to their work speaks for itself – ‘Harry & Meghan’ gave viewers an intimate look into their lives and quickly became one of our most-watched documentary series.”
