England’s Tommy Fleetwood is poised to secure his first PGA Tour victory, carrying a three-shot advantage into the final round.
The 34-year-old, previously sharing the second-round lead, fired a remarkable seven-under-par 63 on Saturday. This propelled him ahead of American duo Russell Henley and Keegan Bradley.
Henley surged into contention with a stunning nine-under-par 61, highlighted by four birdies in his opening six holes. Despite setting a clubhouse lead of 13-under, Fleetwood’s eagle on the par-five 13th, followed by a birdie on 15, solidified his position at 16-under.
In contrast, world number one Scottie Scheffler struggled with a two-over 72, while world number two Rory McIlroy carded a two-under 68. McIlroy’s round, marred by four bogeys on the front nine and a double bogey on 12, appears to have dimmed his chances of a late comeback.
