Hull residents will have access to financial guidance, including support for gambling addiction, during a week-long event.
Talk Money Week will host free, drop-in sessions at Princes Quay shopping centre, offering immediate assistance.
Attendees can also subscribe to a digital newsletter from Hull City Council, delivering advice on financial management, fraud prevention, and scam awareness.
Council Leader Mike Ross emphasized the event’s goal of “helping people feel more confident” in their financial dealings.
“Discussing finances can be challenging, but it’s crucial to seek available support when needed,” he stated.
“This event is designed for anyone seeking financial advice, ranging from general budgeting to specific concerns like gambling issues, loan shark encounters, and protection against scams.”
The event is scheduled from November 3rd to 7th and will be located on the third floor of Princes Quay shopping centre, operating between 11:00 and 15:00 GMT.
