Michael Dunlop secured a commanding victory in Wednesday’s delayed Supersport race two at the Isle of Man TT, riding his Ducati Panigale V2.
Dunlop’s win marks his third of the week and extends his record-breaking career TT victory tally to 32.
He crossed the finish line 26.1 seconds ahead of runner-up Dean Harrison, with Davey Todd finishing a further 15.8 seconds behind in third.
This win brings Dunlop’s Supersport TT victory count to 15, an impressive streak including the last eight consecutive races (four doubles between 2022 and 2025).
The 36-year-old’s victory also marked Ducati’s first TT win in 30 years and his seventh different manufacturer win on the challenging 37.73-mile Mountain Course. His first Supersport win on Monday is detailed here.
“The wee bike [Ducati Panigale V2] is mint and it never missed a beat,” Dunlop stated post-race. “We choose our bikes and manufacturers, and winning is my focus. Reaching the 30s in wins is fantastic. It’s also great for Ducati to be back on top.”
The race, delayed by weather, an accident, and a medical emergency, saw Dunlop immediately take the lead despite challenging windy conditions. He initially faced stiff competition from Harrison and Todd on their Hondas, with his lead fluctuating in the opening lap.
Dunlop, whose bike featured a striking yellow livery alongside Ducati’s traditional red, steadily increased his advantage throughout the race. His fastest lap, recorded at 129.297mph, was slightly slower than his race one time due to the wind.
Following his Tuesday Supertwins race one victory, Dunlop aims for a fifth TT four-timer this week, competing in the remaining Superstock and Supertwins races on Friday and the Senior TT on Saturday.
Harrison finished second, followed by Todd, Paul Jordan, James Hind, and Josh Brookes. Other notable race results include Davey Todd’s Superbike win (details here) and Dean Harrison’s Superstock race one victory (details here), ending BMW’s eight-year dominance.
