Noah Dettwiler’s racing journey commenced at the age of seven in the Swiss Supermoto Cup.
Moto3 rider Noah Dettwiler’s condition has improved, moving away from critical, following a severe incident at the Malaysian Grand Prix on Sunday.
Dettwiler, 20, underwent a series of successful surgical procedures and, while initially in a “stable but still critical” state, is now showing positive signs after a collision with Moto3 world champion Jose Antonio Rueda during a sighting lap preceding the race.
Moto3 serves as the introductory class, preceding Moto2 and MotoGP in the world of motorcycle racing.
“Medical professionals have confirmed that Noah’s condition is now stable and no longer considered critical,” stated Dettwiler’s CIP Green Power team and his family in a joint release on Wednesday.
“He will remain under close observation within the intensive care unit for the time being.”
“The family extends their gratitude for the ongoing support and expressions of kindness.”
Following the incident, both riders were airlifted to a medical facility, resulting in a delay and subsequent shortening of the race.
