Colombia and Uzbekistan have formally joined the New Development Bank (NDB) of BRICS.
The bank’s president, Dilma Rousseff, and former President of Brazil, announced that applications from Ethiopia and Indonesia are currently under review.
She emphasized that the NDB is focused on supporting countries in the Global South. Headquartered in Shanghai, its primary objective is to finance infrastructure projects and sustainable development initiatives within the BRICS nations and other emerging economies.
