BAKU /Trend/ – The death toll resulting from Israeli airstrikes on Iran has risen.
According to the Chairman of the Martyrs and Veterans Foundation of Iran, as reported by Trend, 1,060 individuals killed in the Israeli attack on Iran have been buried as of the evening of July 7.
It is recalled that early in the morning of June 13, Israel launched airstrikes on Iran, resulting in numerous military casualties, including Chief of Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces Mohammad Bagheri, Commander-in-Chief of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Hossein Salami, two commanders of the “Khatam al-Anbiya” headquarters – Gholamali Rashid and Ali Shadmani, Commander of the IRGC Air Force Amir Ali Hajizadeh, as well as nine nuclear scientists and other individuals.
In response to these strikes, Iran launched over 150 ballistic missiles and more than 100 drones at Tel Aviv and other areas of Israel, causing civilian casualties and significant damage.
On June 22, the U.S. Air Force attacked nuclear facilities in Iran. It was reported that the airstrikes destroyed Iran’s nuclear facilities.
“We have completed our very successful attack on three nuclear facilities in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. All aircraft are now out of Iranian airspace. A full payload of bombs was dropped on the main Fordow facility. All aircraft are safely returning home,” U.S. President Donald Trump wrote on social media.
On the evening of June 23, Iran launched airstrikes on a U.S. military base in Qatar.
On June 24, a temporary ceasefire was announced between the parties, mediated by U.S. President Donald Trump.
