The Burkina Faso international tallied 11 goals and nine assists in 88 appearances for the Cherries.
Brentford Football Club has reportedly reached an agreement with AFC Bournemouth for Dango Ouattara, in a club-record deal valued at a potential £42.5 million.
The 23-year-old forward is expected to travel to London on Friday to undergo a medical examination.
Sources close to Ouattara have indicated to BBC Sport that the player expressed a desire to depart Bournemouth due to a lack of consistent playing time at Vitality Stadium.
Last season, Ouattara recorded nine goals in 37 appearances across all competitions for Bournemouth.
Nottingham Forest had previously expressed interest in Ouattara; however, they have now reportedly agreed to a £37.5 million deal with Ipswich Town for England Under-21 winger Omari Hutchinson.
Brentford had a prior bid of £35 million for Hutchinson rejected by Ipswich last month.
It remains to be seen whether Ouattara’s arrival will influence the future of Brentford striker Yoane Wissa.
On Thursday, Brentford manager Keith Andrews stated that Wissa would not feature in their Premier League season opener against Nottingham Forest on Sunday amid speculation surrounding his future.
Newcastle United’s offer for Wissa, reportedly worth £25 million plus £5 million in potential add-ons, has been turned down.
