The Los Angeles residence of actor Brad Pitt was reportedly burglarized by three individuals.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, three suspects gained entry through a front window of the Los Feliz home late Wednesday and “ransacked the location.”
While authorities did not explicitly confirm the property belonged to the Academy Award-winning actor, the address corresponds to a residence Mr. Pitt acquired in 2023.
Law enforcement officials stated that the suspects fled with stolen items; however, the specific items taken remain unclear. US media outlets report that the actor was not present during the time of the burglary.
Earlier in the week, Mr. Pitt was in the UK for the London premiere of his upcoming film F1, scheduled for release on Friday. He was joined by fellow actor Tom Cruise and seven-time Formula One World Drivers’ Champion, Lewis Hamilton.
Authorities indicated that the burglary occurred around 22:30 local time on Wednesday.
The Los Angeles Police Department has not disclosed the value of the stolen items. The BBC has also reached out to representatives for the actor for comment.
The large three-bedroom residence is situated just outside Griffith Park, home to the iconic Hollywood Sign. The property is enclosed by a substantial fence and lush greenery, providing privacy from public view.
This incident follows a series of reported burglaries targeting celebrities in the city, including Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban.
