Bills Edge Jaguars in Thrilling Victory, Allen’s Super Bowl Pursuit Continues

Josh Allen’s eight playoff victories stand as the most by a quarterback yet to appear in a Super Bowl.

The NFL playoffs delivered another captivating contest as the Buffalo Bills secured a 27-24 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars.

A late-game interception by Bills safety Cole Bishop sealed the win, coming after league MVP Josh Allen had orchestrated a go-ahead drive with just over a minute remaining.

Despite entering the season as Super Bowl favorites, the Bills navigated the playoffs as a road team after failing to secure the AFC East title, while the Jaguars claimed the AFC South crown.

Jacksonville concluded the regular season with an eight-game win streak, earning the AFC’s third seed. Buffalo, as the sixth seed, engaged in a closely fought Wildcard Weekend matchup.

Buffalo held a narrow 10-7 lead at halftime and a 13-10 advantage entering the fourth quarter, setting the stage for a thrilling finale with four lead changes.

Quarterbacks Trevor Lawrence and Allen engaged in a duel, with Lawrence, the former first-overall draft pick, connecting on touchdown passes to Parker Washington and Travis Etienne.

Buffalo responded with Allen finding Dalton Kincaid for a touchdown before Allen’s second rushing touchdown of the game ultimately proved to be the decisive score.

Lawrence had enough time to mount a potential game-winning drive, but Bishop’s interception preserved Allen’s hopes of reaching his first Super Bowl.

This season may represent Allen’s best opportunity to advance to the NFL’s championship game, given that the Kansas City Chiefs, who have eliminated Buffalo from the playoffs in four of the past five years, are absent from this year’s playoff picture.
